The minivan Euro 5 Citroen Nemo promises lower emission, more power delivered from the engine, improved payload capacity, greater loadspace and, most importantly, an advanced Start-Stop system. It is available on the British market.
More benefit, while using less fuel and also has significantly lower CO2 emissions. This is a van designed to suit today’s tough economic climate. Under the stylish new bonnet of the Nemo rage sits a more powerful, higher-torque, more fuel-efficient and lower-emissions 1.3HDi diesel engine. The “Stop & Start” technology further improves fuel efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions in congested urban areas.
The fresh diesel unit produces 5 more horsepower and 30 more Nm of torque from lower down in the rev-range. Citroen estimates that, at current diesel pump prices, the frugal engine could save drivers £230 fuel cost saving, over 20,000 miles (32,000 km).
The Euro 5 1.3HDi with low CO2 emissions of just 113g/km powered Nemo is one of the greenest models on the market. The Euro 5 1.3HDi engine is also fitted with an efficient, self-regenerating Diesel Particulate Filter System (DPFS) that brings further environmental gains.
In a Stop & Start Nemo van, as the driver brakes to a halt, the engine stops and remains in standby mode while there is pressure on the footbrake. As soon as the driver releases the footbrake the engine restarts automatically.
